Traditional photographic techniques are becoming rare in this age of digital imagery. Choosing to use only camera, film, and natural light, Patrick captures the beauty of everyday life while editing in-camera, without manipulation or posing. Guided by an inner voice and with camera gear in his backpack, he seeks his subjects mostly by bike, bus, or on foot. This path of ecological responsibility extends to all facets of his life.

Patrick applies many years of studying painting, photography, architecture and botany to his craft. To achieve consistent, precise results, he uses slow-speed 35-mm slide film. The world outside his intended subject ceases to exist as he waits patiently, focused on the exact moment when conditions are optimum: light, shade, wind and state of emotion.

His vision is for the images to bathe the senses with found beauty allowing a personal connection between the viewer and the photograph.
